You can start the game after you register your Game ID through the title screen. You will be connected to a server automatically, and any patch downloads will then begin. New announcements will be displayed at the top of the screen; don't forget to check these!

You get to make your own characters to take part in the world experience of PSO BB. With three different character classes, three races, and both genders to choose from, there are a total of 12 different character types that you can select. After that, you have control over how your character looks, being able to select things like hairstyles, outfits, and other visual features to make your character look original and unique!

The Visual Lobby is the place where hunters all convene in order to get ready for their adventures. You get to interact with your fellow players in real-time, chatting and preparing to meet up with companions to go on quests with.

After you find a group of players in the Visual Lobby, head to the Information Counter to create a new Party. If you don't have a group, feel free to join an existing Party already in play. Should your friends be on a different ship, you can visit the Info Counter to Transport to a new ship or block.

Once you form your Party in the Visual Lobby, you will be teleported to the City. This is where you can purchase supplies, get geared up for adventuring, find the Hunters' Guild, and accept various quests.

Before adventuring, you need to get a quest while in the City. There are two main types of quests: the first are the Principal's Quests and the Lab Quests, which follow the main storyline of the game, and the second are Guild Quests, which are given by the Hunters' Guild.
